Jezera
Jezera is place on the island of Murter. Lots
of "lakes" ("jezera") founded during autumn and winters from
rains that flow into lots of valleys are gone already with first sun rays of
spring sun. But that game of nature since the past times is why you remember
this place and why it is called like that.
Even there is no existence of certain evidences; it is believed that well
sheltered, gentle bay where Jezera is situated attracts first immigrants in 1298. Legends
say about Illyrian tower on the hill Mortar that raised over the place, and
the whole island got the name as it’s. Fastest development of the road and
expander of population Jezera will have in 16 and 17 ct., when there
immigrates refugees under Turks attack. From many churches and sacral
monuments mostly from 17 and 18 ct. surly has to mention church of Lady of health from 1720.
Today Jezera still keeps the appearance and all features of typical Dalmatian
fisherman settlement with about 800 inhabitants. Private catering
establishments, peace and tranquillity that you can find in this place, glass
of wine, pleasant accommodation in some of modern private apartments (about
500 beds) will help you at least while you're here to forget on demands of
modern urban life.
Modern ACI marina "Jezera" with all secondary equipment will be
silent port for adventurers of blue space wanted of break moments. Marina 3-6 m deep has all necessary infrastructure (water, electricity, gas station,
derrick 10 ton) capacity of 250 mores and also 100 accommodation units at
dry. It is opened over whole year, and gives opportunity of rent a boat.
