Rogoznica
Rogoznica is 34 km distant from Sibenik and it is the southest
part of Sibenik - Knin county. It is connected to Sibenik and Split by
Adriatic road. Rogoznica counts today 750 inhabitants. First imigrants came
in 1390 year to Rogoznica - Kopaca on the land, and the nearest island
Kopara, on which people searched for shelter from the Turkish army, was
inhabited in 1518 year. On the island in 1809 during French occupation was
built a castle. Year 1912. island was merged to the land, with a dike 320 m long that eased the access to the place and accelerated its development.
Extension of culture and civilisation on this area has left many monuments,
and spirits of Mediterranean and Europe have been felt at every corner. Many
monuments give evidence to tradition and life on the island. Church
Assumption of Mary 1746. y. and church St. Nicholas from mediaeval age are
most significant cultural monuments.
Rogoznica is even today typical Mediterranean place whose inhabitants are
mostly occupied by fishing, agriculture and tourism. Thanks to preserved
atmosphere of typical, quite Mediterranean place Rogoznica offers to its
inhabitants and visitors peace and relaxation, fully opposite to urban rushes
of modern life. Very near there is a Dragon’s
eye lake - a natural phenomenon.
It is known as the safest harbour on this part of Adriatic so it is safe as
well as for little and for big boats. In Rogoznica you can find marina
"Frapa", one of the most beautiful marinas on Adriatic. Marina has 300 berths.

there are post office, ambulant, many shops, café bars, disco, many natural
beaches and pebble beaches and of course marina "Frapa".

Razanj
is an apartment settlement near Rogoznica and 45 km distant from Sibenik and from Split as well. In wonderful coves large number of villas and
