Vodice
Vodice are placed in Sibenik-Knin county, on Adriatic road Zadar - Sibenik - Split, ca 13 km west from Sibenik. That's typical Mediterranean place with developed tourism and many other
activities. Vodice are one of 10 largest tourist centres in Croatian
Adriatic, that makes 500 000 tourist overnights in hotels, and boarding
houses, apartments, rooms, resorts, camps and modern equipped marina situated
in centre of Vodice.
Long pebble and sandy beaches in the west and east of the city, rich trading
offer, developed cultural entertaining life and many programs, trips,
recreations make tourist offer of Vodice recognizable and quality.
Today Vodice
has 5000 inhabitants and the old name is Arausa from Roman Age. It used to be
agricultural place but nowadays people are turned towards the tourism. They
save the traditions and their guests enjoy in the happy harmony of past and
present time.
During summer days here it is very alive and interesting, many concerts and
manifestations are being held. 4th of August is known as a start of the fest
"Vodicka festa".
ACI marina Vodice works during entire year and has more than 400 berths. From
Vodice with its own boat you can visit beauties like NP Kornati, NP Krka,
island Zlarin and other small islands.
